01. Book Your Session
After reviewing my session guide, select the session type and package that's right for you, then I'll reach out via email with more information, an invoice & contract to secure your date on my calendar. Sessions are not reserved until these items have been submitted. Love a good chat? I am always available to speak over the phone and answer any questions you may have.
02. Before the Session
Your family’s story deserves to be preserved with artistry and intention—creating timeless heirlooms that will be cherished for generations. I am dedicated to providing a seamless, luxury experience, guiding you through every detail from location selection to personalized styling. You will also receive a family questionnaire, allowing me to get to know you and your growing family.
03. Session Day
My style brings an editorial approach to your photo session, focusing on creating images that are timeless, authentic, and truly stand out. With my thoughtful approach to gentle prompts, I will ensure your family feels at ease, resulting in authentic, beautiful photographs that truly capture your unique connection.
04. Ooh and Aah Over Your Images
Your images will be delivered via digital proof gallery in 3-4 weeks, depending on the time of year. After your gallery has been delivered, you can have the option to upgrade your gallery, request al la carte menu options, or finalize your final gallery for delivery.

Maternity SESSIONS
A maternity session is a beautiful way to capture the anticipation and excitement before your baby arrives. This season passes quickly, and documenting it allows you to preserve this chapter of waiting, planning, and dreaming before everything changes.
These sessions are designed to feel effortless and tailored to you. They can include both parents, just mom, or siblings, and can take place outdoors, in the comfort of your home, or in the studio. The beauty is that your session can be anything you want it to be. My role is to make the experience simple and elevated—from helping with styling to planning how you’d love to use your images, whether for a baby shower, artwork in your home, or keepsake memories. Maternity sessions are typically photographed between 31–36 weeks.
Bundling your maternity and newborn sessions is a thoughtful way to document the full story—from the anticipation of pregnancy to those first days with your baby—while keeping the entire experience seamless.
After baby has arrived…
In-Home Newborn Sessions
A newborn session is designed to gently document the first days of life with your baby in the place you’re most comfortable—your home. These sessions are relaxed, natural, and centered around your family as you settle into this new rhythm together.
Newborn sessions are typically photographed within the first 1–8 weeks after your baby arrives, but they can absolutely take place later as well. Whether your baby is a few days old or a few months into life with your family, each stage is just as meaningful and worth documenting.
My approach is simple and effortless. I’ll guide you through everything ahead of time—from styling to preparing your space—so when the day arrives, all you have to do is slow down and enjoy the moment with your baby while I preserve this chapter for you.
Studio Newborn Sessions
Studio newborn sessions offer a simple, timeless setting with a clean, minimal backdrop. These sessions take place in a curated local studio space and are a wonderful option for families who prefer a more formal look or feel their home may not be the ideal location.
Please note that studio sessions are subject to studio availability and will include an additional rental fee.
What’s the best age?
Up to 3 weeks
This is the most classic timeframe for newborn photos. During the first three weeks, babies tend to be sleepier and more easily settled, allowing for those soft, curled-up poses and peaceful moments that many families love. It’s an ideal time to capture the tiny details and the very beginning of life with your baby.
4-7 weeks
At this stage, babies are often more alert and beginning to take in the world around them. Sessions during this window focus more on connection—snuggles with parents, eye contact, and those early expressions that start to show their personality.
8+ weeks
By this stage, babies tend to look more like themselves and how they’ll continue to look as they grow. They’re often more filled out, with chubby cheeks, fuller hands, and the beginnings of sweet little smiles. You may see more eye contact and engagement, making this stage just as special to document as your baby grows into their features.

How to Prepare
What to Wear
Coordinate, don’t match – Choose a color palette of 2–3 main colors and add neutral tones to avoid looking too uniform.
Dress for the location & season – Keep the weather and terrain in mind—think cozy layers for fall and breathable fabrics for summer. For girls wearing dresses, be sure to add bike shorts or bloomers underneath for comfort and coverage.
Avoid loud patterns & logos – Stick to solids or subtle patterns to keep the focus on faces.
Think timeless over trendy – Choose outfits that won’t look dated in a few years.
Comfort counts – Make sure everyone can move easily and feels good in their outfit.
Mind the shoes – Wear clean shoes that match the outfit or opt for bare feet!
Newborn accessories – Have a neutral muslin wrap or swaddle available and comfortable timeless outfits for baby.
Things to avoid – While oversized baby bows can be adorable, they often slip down or distract from your baby's face. Also, steer clear of leisurewear (example: mens nylon golf pants) and clingy fabrics. Be sure undergarments aren't visible to keep the look polished and photo-ready.
Plan ahead – Try on outfits a few days before and send me examples if you have questions.
How to Prepare
Get a good night’s sleep – Ensure everyone is well-rested the night before (easier said than done - I know!)
Eat before the session – Have a light meal to keep energy up and avoid hangry moods (this includes kids and baby).
Be ready – Aim to be ready 10 minutes before I arrive to avoid feeling rushed. Please also have all children and baby fully dressed and ready to go.
Trust your photographer – Let me take the lead with your kids during the session—there’s no need for stress or pressure. I’ll keep things fun and relaxed, and I promise we’ll capture some truly amazing photos together!
Prep your home - tidy the areas with the best natural light, typically the primary bedroom, nursery, and living room. You do not need a perfectly styled home, just clean surfaces, made beds, and clutter cleared from nightstands and floors.
Open all curtains and blinds before I arrive to allow as much natural light in as possible.
Keep the temperature slightly warmer than usual, especially for newborn sessions.
Trust the process - Your home does not need to be perfect. The beauty of an in-home session is capturing your family exactly as you are in this season.
What to Have On-hand
Snacks & water – Especially for young kids. Have easy snacks on hand for when needed. A small treat as a reward can work wonders for keeping spirits high! Just be sure to avoid chocolate or lollipops for long kids that may drool.
Touch-up kit – Include hairbrush, tissues, makeup touch-up items, and lint roller.
Favorite toy or comfort item – Helps little ones relax and can be used for natural smiles.
Blanket – Neutral-colored blanket for sitting poses or staying warm.
Extra outfits – Just in case of accidents, especially with young children.
Bug spray & sunscreen – If applicable to the location and time of year.
Wipes or napkins – For quick cleanups and sticky fingers.
A portable potty - Ideal for off-season beach sessions and remote locations where restrooms may not be available.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When will I receive my gallery?
I’m committed to delivering your beautifully curated gallery within 3-4 weeks of your session, with every image crafted to reflect the artistry and care it deserves. During peak seasons, delivery may take a little longer to ensure the highest quality, but your portraits will always be worth the wait. Once your selections are made, each chosen image will be fully retouched and perfected, resulting in a final collection that is both timeless and uniquely you.
What do I need to do to book?
To secure your session, a $250 retainer and a signed contract are required. Additionally, I kindly ask you to complete a brief questionnaire, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of your family. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a tailored guide with curated details on styling, location, and timing to ensure your experience is seamless and truly exceptional.
Ahhh! What do I wear?
Rest assured, your session fee includes a personalized style consultation and an exclusive, seasonally curated What to Wear Guide, thoughtfully designed to reflect the latest style trends with an enduring elegance. Together, we will select the perfect ensembles for you and your family, ensuring your individuality shines while your photographs exude a timeless sophistication. You’ll also get access to my ShopMy account, where I’ve curated outfit options from favorite online retailers—making it easy to find and purchase stylish looks for your session with just a click.
But…I’m not photogenic!
I specialize in capturing your most flattering angles and bringing out the very best in everyone. My sessions are designed to be effortless and natural, blending gentle guidance with genuine moments to ensure you and your family look radiant, relaxed, and beautifully authentic. In fact, many of my clients have shared that they typically don’t love photos of themselves—but they love the ones I take. I’m passionate about helping every subject feel confident, comfortable, and seen at their very best.
Can I use a mini session for my Newborn?
Newborn portraits are a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, and mini sessions simply don’t allow the time needed to fully capture this moment. Full sessions let us explore multiple locations, outfit changes, and a variety of poses, ensuring you feel confident and relaxed. This extra time is what creates a timeless, editorial-quality gallery that truly reflects your personality and style—something a mini session just can’t provide.
What is the cancellation policy?
I understand that plans can change unexpectedly. While I do not offer deposit refunds, you can rollover your deposit for another session, as long as it is scheduled within the same year. Sessions booked outside of the yearly timeframe are subject to price increases.
Can my extended family join in on the Newborn Session?
I understand this is a milestone moment for you and your extended family, but I generally recommend keeping newborn sessions focused on your immediate family. That said, family members are welcome to join, creating a meaningful way to celebrate this special time together. Please note that an additional fee applies for extra participants, as each added person requires extra time and careful editing to ensure every image maintains the highest quality.
When is my final balance due?
A deposit is required to secure your session date and time, with the final payment due one day prior to your scheduled session. Please note that failure to submit the final payment will result in the gallery not being delivered.
Do you offer upgrade options?
Upgrade options are available once your gallery is delivered. À la carte choices include single digital downloads or additional digital packages, along with albums, prints, and custom artwork to help you preserve and display your memories.
I provide an easy-to-use online store where you can print images effortlessly. All orders are reviewed and approved by me before printing, and I receive a small commission on any sales made through the site—these purchases are greatly appreciated and help support my work.
Do you pose babies?
Every newborn is beautifully unique, which is why I do not heavily pose babies or force specific setups. I follow your baby’s natural rhythms and comfort cues, allowing each session to unfold organically. Because no two babies are alike, I cannot guarantee certain images or exact poses. Instead, I focus on creating timeless, natural photographs that reflect your baby exactly as they are in this fleeting season.
